Aviation Sales Engineer– Andover, MA

Position Summary

The Sales Engineer, Aviation will be a key technical resource to the sales and product team through all stages of the sales and service delivery process. You will be responsible for driving the solution identification and technology evaluation stage of the sales process, and working closely with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product resource. You must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to executives and managers, IT, operational users (e.g. airline dispatchers, pilots, airport managers), and channel partners. You must be able to identify and overcome technical issues and devise creative solutions to problems to ensure complete customer satisfaction and overall program success. You will be part of a fun, fast-paced and highly collaborative team, dedicated to helping flight operators worldwide improve safety and operational efficiency, especially during disruptive weather.

Responsibilities

    • Develop and deliver product demonstrations
    • Represent the product to customers and at industry events such as conferences and seminars
    • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs and RFPs
    • Gather and convey customer requirements to product management and engineering
    • Responsible for the creation of product technical documentation and training material
    • Provide application training onsite and via webinar to ensure the most effective use of products
    • Work with cross-matrix team to produce highly effective proposals, presentations, & white papers, among others
    • Work with cross-matrix team to develop and execute statement of works and manage change management process
    • Work with product management and product marketing to train and coach the sales team to communicate product value and benefits and continually improve sales effectiveness
    • Support product and corporate marketing on the creation of sales collateral, presentation materials, advertising and PR campaigns, tradeshow appearances, promotional campaigns

    Qualifications

      • Minimum of 3 years AOC or ATM experience in a Part 121 or Part 135 operations with strong flight operations application technology background
      • Willingness to travel extensively and globally (approximately 40%)
      • BA/BS degree; computer science or technical background as a dispatcher, pilot or meteorologist
      • Experience with WSI products and services a plus
