Software Developer – Broadcast Systems

Summary
Develop application programs for broadcast television weather, working independently and as part of a small team including technical and non-technical professionals. As a key player on our team we'll be looking to you to help identify leading edge software technologies to help us help us achieve our goals.

• Develop graphics and video functions for the leader in broadcast weather using C++, and OpenGL on the Microsoft Windows platform.
• Develop and maintain programs to aid in support of existing applications on the system
• Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and developed methodologies for creating needed functionality
• Play an active role in the Product Requirements process, giving feedback to product management as to development challenges
• Provide accurate development time estimates for projects and tasks assigned.
• Debug software based upon feedback from Quality Assurance department and product management.
• Assist our industry leading customer service team on technical issues involving hardware, Windows, and application programs.
• Bring new ideas on improvement of existing data products, efficiencies, and functionality.
• Provide weekly feedback to team on task progress.

• BS Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
• 2-3 years experience in software development coding and maintaining software C++
• Knowledge of OpenGL graphics programming.
• Familiarity with MFC and Windows is a plus.

• Self motivated individual

• Able to sit for long periods of time and view computer monitor
