Accounting Clerk

Position Summary:
Weather Central Inc., located in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin, is looking for an Accounting Clerk to join our rapidly growing software and services business. We are a quality and performance leader in our industry and have customers and operations worldwide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
In this position you will: be responsible for providing accounting and administrative support functions for the Controller and CFO; maintain computerized and paper records for both customers and vendors, and respond to customer billing inquiries; ensure that receivable and payable activity is properly coded to the appropriate general ledger account and recorded in the proper period per proper accounting standards; complete general clerical and filing duties in the accounting department.

Educations, Skills, Experience, Abilities:
• An Associate degree in Accounting and/or 2 years of relevant experience;
• Required experience with Excel and Word; previous AR/AP experience; business phone experience;
• Excellent verbal communication skills in the English language; proficient calculator speed and accuracy;
• Outlook and Dynamics Great Plains experience a big plus.
